Originally from North Wales, singer/songwriter ALED HUGHES is now located in the idyllic southern coastal town of Llantwit Major. Probably best categorised as being in the pop-folk genre, he writes songs in both English and Welsh. Some take quite a lighthearted perspective, while others deal with heavier themes. As well as composing his own material, he does renditions of Welsh standards too. He personally provides the vocals/guitar/percussion elements, with additional support coming from Lynise Esprit (piano/keyboards/bass/drums) and Jonathan Browning (harp). He has been featured on BBC Radio Cymru’s Ram Jam, as well as appearing on Welsh language TV channel S4C.
